SOLD: Funk Audio 18.3 subwoofer
« on: 4 Feb 2017, 04:36 pm »
Due to changes in home cosmetics, I have to very reluctantly let this subwoofer go . This is the finest subwoofer I have heard both for HT and for 2ch, specifically in the mid bass. I have experience with SVS, PSA, Rythmik, Seaton Sound, Legacy, etc...but Funk is the cream at the top. If you are looking for a sub that competes at the level of other subs in the four to five figure price category, look no further, this is it. This sub is the state of the art in subwoofers. For those of you familiar with the Funk 18.0, this 18.3 has essentially double the output of a Funk 18.0 at frequencies less than 40Hz and has the equivalent output above 40Hz. Crossover frequencies can easily be as high as 200Hz and topology is completely variable from 1st to 4th order with the very powerful DSP module. You can implement nearly any kind of parametric EQ you desire for your desired response curve. Audiogon 9/10 just for a few blemishes that show up on flash photography.
