Unable to Load Music Folder in Roon
« on: 15 Oct 2016, 09:19 pm »
I have setup Roon in BDP-2.  I have my USB storage media containing my music attached to the BDP-2.  Under settings in Roon I go to Storage and when I try to add folders using into Network Folders, I use the BDP-2 IP address.  I type in
\\192.168.0.1\bryston\JazzMusic.
Where JazzMusic is the name of the folder.  The response I get is "The drive containing this media is not available or the folder has been deleted".  However, in MPD mode, the BDP-2 sees the music folder and plays music from this folder.  So I know the music folder is mounted and avaible to BDP-2.  What am I doing wrong in Roon?  Please help.

It seems a bit unusual (but not impossible) that in your 192.168.0 subnet that .1 would be the address of the BDP-2 and not that of your router or gateway.

Also, is "bryston" the root folder of the JazzMusic folder on your USB drive?

It might be helpful to others (and to me) if you would share the solution.
