For your consideration is a rare Pass Labs X5 for multichannel home theater use (although it can also be used for just two-channel). You don't find these every day, but they are still probably one of the best multichannel amps out there. It operates in Class AB, but the first 25W (e.g., 20%) operates in Class A consistent with Nelson Pass's typical design. It is in excellent condition and works well. Sounds even better. Only reason I'm selling is that I don't view/listen to HT as much these days due to time. What time I do have, I listen to two-channel. I've had it since 2008.
From the manual:
- Bandwidth: DC (-0dB) to 100kHz (-3dB)
- Power: 125W for each of five channels into 8 Ohms.
- Gain: 30dB.
- Max output voltage: +/- 50V.
- Max output current: +/- 10 amps.
- Dynamic range: 140dB (random noise floor to peak output).
- Input impedance: 22 kOhms balanced.
- Both both RCA and XLR input connections.
- Comes with power cord, XLR grounding plugs, printed manual, and original box.
MSRP was $4500 USD in the late 2000s. I am asking $2500 plus actual shipping, OBO. I will pick up the Paypal fees. Paypal only and shipping only to CONUS. About 85 lbs and ships from 07068.
I hope it goes to a good home.
