Been searching....

Do any NuPrime DAC's include a Polarity Reversal feature?

I have been sitting on my current otherwise good sounding DAC while searching for something with that feature. One that is within reason. It will be my selling point.

Years back I heard the benefits with my old DacMagic.... though the DAC itself was not the best sounding, I was able to hear what a wonderful difference finding to right polarity would produce on different recordings.

If by polarity you mean phase inversion capability the W4S DAC-2's have it.

I already do that.  Just had to listen to something in reverse polarity because its not convenient to get behind the speakers all the time....

What are you using for source? If coming from a computer, some software programs have that feature too.

I am using a fanless SSD PC... 

I might switch to J RIver as my media center. Though I find GOM Player to sound excellent.  Found out  that J River have hidden in the software a polarity option.  But, read its supposed to be cumbersome to get to. It was so easy when I had that feature sitting in front of me on my first DAC...

I contacted GOM and they told me they may look into the polarity feature. Hope its soon.

I forgot the main problem when using software....   Using different programs to channel music to the DAC will each have their own polarity.  I may use JRiver for certain things, things like streaming radio channels will go through their own dedicated software.  Having the control over polarity at the DAC covers all sources.

JRiver has included a WDM Driver since v20 which can route all Windows programs sound through JRiver's DSP.
