Cement 0.22 Ohm x2 2W Non-inductance Resistor
« on: 3 Oct 2015, 03:03 pm »
Hi all.  I'm trying to fix my Onkyo receiver and have been having some trouble finding a particular part.  I'm hoping that one of you may know where to get it.  I ordered the part from analogmetric.com but they sent the wrong part and won't respond to my emails to fix the problem.  I'm looking for a Cement 0.22 Ohm x2 2W Non-inductance Resistor.  Here is what it looks like:

It is just 2 resistors in one package... One of the legs (center?) is common, so just use 2 resistors. Should be pretty easy to make them fit and look good.

The .22OhmKX2 could be read as .22ohmK times 2.  I'm just wondering if you have a 220ohm resistor instead of a .22 ohm one.  If you have one leg that's still good, I'd measure it just to make sure you've got the value right.

It's definitely .22 ohm X 2, 2 in one package. Most likely emitter resistors. I'd be checking those outputs, then drivers, look for other open resistors in the amp, pre drivers.... Make sure all this is good too!

Thanks everyone.  I've already tested the part, found that it was bad and removed it from my receiver.  I just need to know where to buy a replacement part (but not from analogmetric.com).  Any of you have a good source?

These are 5 watt, but they will do fine. 3 watt is impossible to find in this configuration, and all you will get in a 2 in 1 package will be old stock at this point.

Thank you Paul!  Analogmetric.com sent a 5w part so maybe they are not so bad.   I didn't know one could use a 5w to replace a 2w part!

The only thing that will take them out in this emitter resistor position, is a blown output. Oversizing "this" resistor is no big deal.
