Quote. "If the inputs on your particular preamp use relays to short them when not in use these plugs will offer no sonic benefit."

Question. Do Bryston preamps use these relays? Thanks.

Some of our preamps use relays to disconnect (not short) the unused inputs, while others use a mechanical switch to do the same.  Regardless of how the input is selected, the unused input connectors are completely isolated from the circuitry in the unit, so there is no value in shorting them.

Thanks,

Mike
