Hi,

I recently purchased a used 4BST that sounds great except for when I turn it off after listening for a while.  As it is powering down, I hear a fairly loud static from the right speaker that lasts about a second.  Is something failing?

You are hearing the death throws of the front-end of the amp, they should be muted.
The yellow NAiS mute relays can get stuck with age.
Bryston will replace them under warranty with black OMRON relays.
