I think the tonearm was beefed up and something else. Can't remember. I hope this offer this SE package for the MMF-7.

You're now able to use your choice of interconnects, so there must be RCA jacks on back rather than a captive/fixed patch cord.

Actually, I have an mmf-5, and that tonearm looks the same as mine. I did replace the cheap felt mat that came with it with a foam one which helped out alot. No static at all!

IMO, the real drag on the performance of the MMF5 is the tonearm. Don't get me wrong, the MMF5 is a great entry point to Vinyl, but I really never cared for the arm. The planar 3 I had had a far better arm but I think the table is better on the MMF5. Too bad noone has come out with a Rega mount for the Musichall tables. Might be the cats meow of budget tables.

I know what you mean. The arm isn't exactly the smoothest or most precise one I've seen. Oh well, it does what it is supposed to anyway, and that's all that matters.

However, I did replace the stock Goldring 1012GX cart with a new Shure M97xE which I feel is a huge step up in performance! At least to me ears.
