The LSA Statement Integrated amp is a state of the art tube/hybrid 150 watts per channel remote controlled integrated amplifier. They retailed through dealers for $11,500.00. They are now sold Internet Direct at $4499.00 (currently on sale at $3999.00). The Statement is the top of the LSA line and a world class amp. It has quite a good MM phono stage as well as one XLR and 3 RCA analog inputs.
The extensive upgrades to the Standard amp to make it a Statement include:
- Installation of the LSA proprietary Active Tube Load circuit in the cathode follower section of the preamplifier
- High voltage current regulator that controls current going through the tubes resulting in high impedance, high bandwidth load to tubes. This lowers distortion of the tubes enabling them to operate more linearly. It also eliminates current variations in tubes, allowing lower current going to tubes, thus increasing their lifespan
- Upgrade all capacitors in preamp section to double metalized polypropylene
- Upgrade all resistors in preamp section from carbon film to metal film
- Upgrade wiring from amplifier section to speaker terminals to Straightwire high purity copper cable
- Hand solder wire at speaker terminals vs. speaker terminal blocks
- Add a second transformer to achieve dual mono operation in the preamp section
- Change configuration of large toroid transformers to achieve dual mono operation in the amplifier section
- Add proprietary circuit board to achieve separate voltage regulation of input and driver stages of the amplifier section
- Upgrade amplifier feedback loop parts
