Thanks for the thoughtful reply
The active  Xover was chosen over using the passive version as I just feel based on a lot of listening over the years I like the amp to see only a set frequency spectrum as it plays more effortlessly and has 4x the power into the drivers better control damping headroom etc .
I do agree with you on the attenuators as I measured the the level of attenuation on the tweeters section of the pass (high) control and have inserted using pure silver solder naked vishal resistors-wow what an eye opener this is transparency on steroids
However I had to have some flexibility to match volume levels so I needed to use goldpoints for the mids Neo 10's
What is amazing about BG is how The President of the company Robin Ellis and his build team are they so accommodating they can if you desire build the speakers for passive use (they actually come from the factory that way with high quality Mundorf caps)
You can send them the deuland caps and inductors your hook up wire etc and they will build them to your spec
Lastly I do not know if it is worth the effort to upgrade any more of the Xover
What r your thoughts
As I think the attenuators give the best bang for the buck
Would other upgrades be diminishing returns

I bet the FS-880's sound phenomenal!!!  And I believe there's a BG Radia dealer in my area too.  I just might have to set up an appointment for an audition!  While they may or may not have the 880's, their website does show pictures of the 800's.  That's close enough for me!

Oh yea, for what it's worth, I found a 'nudie' of the FS-880.  I always like au naturel pictures!

Tweakers are tweakers. There is no end to the madness for them. Perhaps an electric skull cap that taps the pleasure center wired directly to the digital crossover.  no no wait....... An analog signal mainlined into the left arm.

Forgot to mention that they also have the smaller and more affordable FS 420 they are smaller but have the same neo drivers in a smaller array

Congrats Faxer

Must be tremendous speakers. I am a big fan of the Neo drivers. I use a line array of Neo8 drivers for mids in my Tympani IV in a triamped configuration.

I was tempted to rebuild with Neo10s but their limited dispersion on top beyond 2khz would have made a steep XO necessary with the Maggie ribbon. Also the waterfall plot wasn't as clean and had minor hang effects. My array only manages down to 250hz but I am sure you can do nearly 100 hz for your Neo10 mids. I use the Neo8 array 250hz-300hz to 5-7 khz using a 1st order network at line level (passive).

I have been waiting for BG to come up with a floor standing version of their 800 wall mount model. Have you tried it pulled out into the room to like 1 foot less than halfway into the room? Like the Limage/Hong Kong setup?

The floor standing version of the 800 was made into a prototype dipole search on You Tube: BG Radia Dipole 800

The FS 880 is the floor standing version of the 800 but has 8 woofers not 4 and has dedicated woofer amps

We use an active Pass xover crossed over at 1.8khz from the Neo 10's to the Neo3's
the Neo 3's have perfect flat response at 2khz and up
