Hi

Looks like a year and a bit left as the SP2 is considered a Digital product and has a 5 year warranty.

The warranty runs from the manufacturing date as that is the only way we can track them.

Not sure on the gain question in digital - analog would be the same as a BP25

Sure it can be used as a 2 channel preamp, but why would you want to when you can listen in 5.1 Neo:6. :P

Not sure of the gain question, that's not something I really understand. Gain as compared to another preamp?

When I'm not rockin' out the volume knob is usually in the 12 o'clock position and reads 12 on the display. Gain however is more of a factor from the source you are using, different sources have different volume. Like I estimate the Bdp-1 is about 3 db less than when using my computer, which I can adjust the volume output, but I typically have it set about 70%. :smoke:

When I had my SP1.7 (which has the same analog section as the SP2), I compared it to the BP26.  I had compared the SP1.7 to the BP25 before I bought the SP1.7 and could not detect any differences.  The BP26 was a bit more refined.
