Cornet resistors 370 Tranny
« on: 17 Jul 2004, 06:50 pm »
Hi, I too had a failure with a 270BX tranny.  I ordered a 370BX along with new resistors as per Jim's post.  With the board removed I was wondering;

1.  If I should change the resistors for the constant current source from 1k to 910 Ohm as now specified.

2.  Is it okay to use a 1.5KV, poly capacitor for C9 or does it have to be and AC rated cap.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

The 1k to 910 value change is not that critical in the current source.  Yes, any cap voltage rating above what is needed in circuit is fine.  C9 does not need to be safety rated as it is on secondary.  Not so for C20.
