Neo 6
« on: 18 May 2012, 11:48 pm »
I've been using Neo 6 a lot lately with my SP2. I find that I'm hearing more instrument & channel seperation & detail particularly in the higher frequency range. This is with basic stereo cd which is dts matrixed into 6 channels. Getting the center channel calibrated right is key to getting it to sound right.

Dolby Pro Logic II sounds good but I rarely use it for music. Because in my opinion it flattens out linears highs, which is the attribute of the SST2 amp, which I like. So why would I want to flatten it out?

Anyway if you're using a multi-channel processor give Neo 6 a try. 8)

For those of you who are not familiar with Neo:6. I find with my unconventional speaker set up, Neo: 6 to be almost the same as regular 2 channel stereo, except it has a little more body or texture for lack of a better term. I can switch from 2 channel bypass to multi channel Neo:6 on the fly.8)
