VPI Scout platter. Picked this up a few years ago from another Audiogon member who had upgraded his platter. Used but in good condition. Some minor chips on the lower edge (from when it was dropped during a move).
Included is the platter, and a complete inverted bearing assembly. (The bushing on the platter is a ½” diameter, and will easily spin on any ½” spindle.) Also included is a VPI buna-N-rubber belt in excellent condition. It was purchased new from Music Direct in April of 2010.
Note: the threaded post on the top side of the spindle is slightly bent. The spindle is still accurate, but the threaded portion is not perfect. If you use a weight based clamp it’s not a problem, but if you use a threaded VPI clamp it doesn’t seat perfectly flat. You could probably tweak the threads if you wanted, but I wanted to mention it.
