 the more i refine my system, my room, and my sources i find i can easily and enjoyably listen at louder levels. so i am. i think i read the upgrade would be the difference in price. it's 500$. it worth it? will i even notice a difference? my speakers are ht2-tl.

Well, you will jump from 200W/Ch to 300W/Ch with no negatives at all so its a really good deal if you can afford the $500 upgrade cost.

$500 for 100 more watts with totally same sound characteristic which you like is dam dirt cheap. Go for it.

I have the 600R and absolutely love it.  Can't go wrong with the 600R.
