Can all BP-25s be upgraded to BP26?
« on: 6 Oct 2012, 06:38 pm »
Hi James,

I'm considering purchasing a used BP-25 for upgrading to BP-26, i.e., I'd purchase the MPS2 power supply and send the preamp itself to Bryston for circuit "adjustments."

I've done this once already and am happy with the results; that's why I want to do it again for my second system.

My question is: can ALL BP-25 preamps be upgraded to the BP-26 spec? Or are there some early versions of the BP-25 that cannot, or cannot fully, be upgraded?

Or should I simply call Bryston with the relevant serial number(s) to determine whether a given unit is fully upgradable?

Thanks!

Joel Tatelman.
