Seems like most opted for prebuilt rather than a kit.

I was going to buy the kit but it turned out that Jeff didn't offer the latest version of the arm in kit form.  So I opted for the latest version instead of saving a little dough and putting it together myself.  I've read it's very easy to put together if you have a little skill.  If I ever bought a second one I'd probably get the kit since it would be used as a back-up (or junker cartridge) arm.

Thanks Joe. I'm always thinking about a project and I have an RB600 sitting around!
Actually, I looked around the site and see no mention of the RB600...isn't it in the same family as the RB300?
Paul
I'm not familiar with the 600. Looking at the site Jeff must have recently added this for the 300.
"The bearing journal is 12mm rather than the 13mm of the other arms. The kit does not fit.
An RB 300 version of the bearing carrier can be supplied for an extra £12. "
You could contact Jeff about your 600, but if it's working I would think it’s worth a lot more than the $50 an arm/lift/rest cost?
"If you don't have a suitable arm, or if yours is too good to use, add £32 for a NEW arm tube, arm lift and arm rest, all the parts you need to complete the arm."  Which of course is around $50 USD

I'll chime in here and offer my two cents worth: the Audiomods arm is one the great bargains in the audio world. I've had mine about a year and continue to be amazed at its performance (non micrometer version.) I simply do not know how Jeff can produce this arm for the price he sells it for. If he were to ramp up production, hire more staff, move to a bigger production shop, engage in usual marketing activities, etc., I'm sure the price would have to double. The performance is way above that of the unmodified Rega it's based on (as it should given the price increase.) It's fit n finish is not like a Graham or a SME, but it's good in a way that reminds me of a hand built Lotus or Maserati sports car space frame from the sixties. The "Enjoy the Music" review is spot on accurate, no hyperbole in my opinion.
A '55 Lotus Elite is my dream car.  You can have the six figure ones all day.  Guess that says I'm a romantic at heart.  Sturgus turned me on to the Audiomods re-do.  I should do that! :duh:

Think I'll leave the 600 a 600 for now...
