Bryston B60 SST and Dynaudio 4 ohm speakers?
« on: 27 Jan 2012, 01:12 am »
looking to add   a Bryston B60 SST  (int-amp)  with a   pair  of Dynaudio Focus 110, in my home office.

Dynaudio Focus 110   rated at  86dB  (4ohm)  bookshelf speaker

will   the B60 SST , be ok to use  with this speaker?

setup  is   for a  home office  15 x 14  room  and   mostly will   be "moderate listening"   no   ear bleeding  volumes.

really like the size, and specs of the 60b SST  :thumb:

Hi heckler

Taking into account room size, speaker efficiency and normal listening levels yes you will be fine. :thumb:

I've tried my B60SST with Dynaudio. No problems, even in a larger room.

I've heard the combination.  It sounds very good IMO.  As James said, so long as you're staying in the parameters you mentioned, you shouldn't have any issues.  Those were the condition I heard the combo under, more or less.

Bryston B60 is an awesome machine :thumb:, it will play hotter at 4 ohms than at 8 ohms.
I had a B60, it runed some how a little hot at 6 ohms but the sound was wonderful.
if I had to change something about the B60, I would just change the small heat sinks for bigger and outside ones. I know it will be bigger and more expensive, but it will run cooler and that means....instead the 20 years warranty, you will have a 60 years warranty lol.
Bryston B60 is on top of my list of the best integrated amp under 100 watts RMS per channel period!!!
