I watched them in San Jose two days ago. It was
fantastic. Art of Almost in live was mind blowing!

I saw them in Spokane Monday night from the first row. Awesome show! I posted pics in the Music Circle under the Latest Live Shows thread.

I'm jealous! They're a fantastic live band. I'm a long-time fan -- I saw Jeff Tweedy play his first show with Jay Bennett at Lounge Ax in Chicago (after AM was recorded but before it was released) -- and when I saw them a couple of years ago, they blew me away. Their albums (including The Whole Love) are always slow-starters for me, but after a few listens, they inevitably take hold. Ghost is probably my fave, too.

I love Ghosts the most, YFH and SBS are up there for me.  The Wilco Album I think sucks, so much for me that I almost wrote them off.   I'll have to take list to The Whole Love.

I tend to agree that the Album is their worst (i.e. it's only good).  The new one is good, but on their folky side - which I like, but I prefer their punky/rock out side.  I think their next one should be a hard driving one.  Someone piss Jeff Tweedy off please!  Make him angry and bitter with less self reflection.

So I listened to The Whole Love....much better than the Wilco album IMO.

While the album is more folky, they did rock it out when playing live.

Anybody who remotely likes Wilco's studio albums absolutely needs to see them play in person.

Completely agree with George. My least favorite album is Ghost. Way too much noise for my tastes. When you hear some of those songs live, like Theologians, you realize those are great songs. I still can't listen to the studio album because the noise prevents me from getting to the good songs.
