fuses for 3B legacy amp
« on: 2 Jan 2012, 08:36 pm »
New forum member wants to know if I need to replace fuses for an old 3B with fast or slow blow fuses? (4A 250V)  The filament in the replacement ones I bought at The Source are different than original so I am confused and uncertain.
Thanks!

Thanks.  So I replaced it and it blew right away.  I notice on the back of the unit that there are labels saying "MID" and "HIGH" where the patch cords are.  Does this mean the previous owner made some modifications that are causing this problem?

Could be - if they are blowing right away then it probably means the output transistors are blown.

Thanks James.  I sent him an email about the original fuse issue earlier today so I will contact him again about the latest developments.
