Virtue 2.2 / 130 power supply volume clicks
« on: 3 Dec 2011, 04:50 am »
Hey, need some help. Hooked up a 2.2 to my new frugal horns with fostex 126en and when I change the volume there is a noticable click/step in the volume.  Is this normal or do I need to send this in.  Thanks for any help.  Jon

Does it use a stepped attenuator?  If even it does, you should not hear a click, and the step up should be subtle.  I don't have one, so I can't comment further.  But, I do have a Goldpoint/Elma stepped attenuator that works great and steps smoothly.

It's a stepped attenuated and it loud enough to be irritating.

I have had a 2.2 for a year or so with the 30/130 and it never clicked once, I'd say something is amiss, better safe than sorry.
 Jason will probably read this....
