HT1 with cj el34 based amps.
Borrowed HT2 for a weekend 5 years ago with 6550 & el34.
1st the speakers are revealing en'uff to communicate the differences
between these two tube types as well as borrowed cj integrated.(s)
the CAV50 & the ET250S
So, If you like the sound of tubes you're good to go. And I know it goes
against the grain of some but the tubes with their subtle euphony makes
a good case for smoothing the SEAS metal driver....imho.
In all honesty the more expensive ET250 was the best combination.
It had most of the check list of wants & needs under control. All the others
were darned nice but you were picking & choosing amongst the +/- of
the gear.
good luck have fun & euphony isn't always a bad word. And truly neutral
is a noble quest & most times it's ephemeral...ymmv, imho yadda yadda
