I have had no one CD from Jane so far, a shame, many prog rock fans though Jane was a Romantic Pop band due the female name. His sound was a bit similar to Genesis so on the puchase time I have always opted for other band, since there is so many options on Krautrock. On that time imported CDs were top money, $25USD each at an hi exchange rate.
In the late 1970s, I was at a party in NYC and Rother was there. He rather stiffly corrected my mispronunciation of Neu. Neu is pronounced ‘Noy’ and not as ‘New’ as I was pronouncing it. I have a limited command of lanquage and did not know that.I am not like a smart person.I pretty much missed Krautrock. However, I am a fan of Cluster and the Eno/Cluster collaborations, influential but not directly related. I am also a fan of Karlheinz Stockhausen, directly related to almost everything.Karlheinz Stockhausen was a major influence on krautrock. CAN’s Irmin Schmidt and Holger Czukay were in fact students of Stockhausen.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePBB-NO8vKg&sns=em
Does ELOY count? I'm a big fan of their 70's stuff.
I was a fan of the Scorpions. Do they fit the bill?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzwsTEXgbNM
Yes and No
Hmm, I thought that Spinal Tap was a spoof on Uriah Heep. I seem to remember reading something about that way back when.
