What is the frequency range of these speakers? They are better than whizzer version?

Hi happyrabbit,

Thanks and should be getting them out tomorrow.

I will be posting much more on the Super 7 series that will include a monitor as well.

The speakers pictured are finished in EKO Ebony and the look is great. I have spent a lot of time getting my photography skill a bit better too.

Hi DaveC113,

Great to hear and very happy with the new range. I will get more info and more pictures up very soon.

Hi KnyazHM,

They will go down into the lower 40's and will go up to 18Khz. The SPL is 95dB.

Thanks again,
Louis

Good looking speakers Dwight.  :thumb:   I have the Super 3 XRS as well. Can you compare the sound of the two for us?

Also, I was considering trying to use the Super 3s as an "ambiance" speaker, stealing the idea from the Audiokenisis LCS that was at RMAF this year.  :)   Basically, you would put the Super 3s on their backs facing up behind the 7s. The sound from the 3s will bounce off the ceiling like a bipole... if it works it will make the sweet spot wider and the soundstage deeper.

Hi DaveC113,

I have done this a bunch of times and the sound is great. I will be offering these too. It will be part of the multipoint. It's an omni of sorts.

The custom section will have quite a few larger projects. My latest 8" driver is on the bench now. This is the 3rd prototype.

Hi Dwight,

Nice to see them side by side and the 7's are so much deeper.

Thanks,
Louis

Hi Louis !

Is there any benefit to putting the super 7 driver into the super 6 monitor  ?  Can it even be done ?

What size is the driver?  The name makes me want to guess 7", but aren't the 3-series a 4.5".

i assumed it was 7" also. I was just thinking  if it would fit i would get a better bottom end and slightly higher  db.  Not sure if it will work though.

Hi sugbob21

Thanks and it can be done easy.

Actually the new seven series standmount is similar the the 6 series stand mount right now. I have updated the 6 series and the monitor is getting a little bit larger. I'll have pictures up soon too. I have a great set in Zebrawood just about done.

Hi JeffB,

The name comes from the driver frame size in regards to the 7's. The frame is actually 7 1/8 inch. You are right about the 3 series and the they are 4.5". I just like the number 3.

Hi sugbob21,

Actually a cabinet increase in volume will do the trick.

Thanks,
Louis

OK, I thought the 7s didn't have whizzers but I guess the Alnicos do? Looking forward to hearing your impressions...  :)
