Here are some unique features of CRISPIN:
  • The Maraschino Modules inside the CRISPIN unit are plugged into sockets. This means that in the future you will be able to upgrade your amplifier with the next generation technology instead of having to buy a whole new amplifier. With other manufacturers you would be forced to buy a whole new unit.
  • CRISPIN has an integrated linear power supply (toroid power transformer). This eliminates the need for having to buy a separate power supply.
  • All of CRIPIN’s connectors are mounted and soldered directly to the motherboard. This eliminates the need for wire harnesses.
  • Using a 4-layer motherboard allows CRISPIN to have all critical signals routed on inner layers and be shielded (protected) by large ground planes on the outer layers.

How do you like them apples?

Currently CRISPIN is available at a discount though our Kickstarter campaign - http://kck.st/2jE4e3C

Hi,
How would be the Crispin sound quality at the 1-3W range where fullrange drivers operate?
Thanks

Positive/negative speaker binding posts look to be very close to each other.

Well noted, it follow the board outputs as require direct coupling the post, if it concern I suggest wrap a rubber fusion tape on the posts or a smaller borne.
Just a idea.

They are the standard .75 inches apart.

Sound at low levels is exceptional thanks to nearly 120dB SNR, low distortion, low output impedance, and 100kHz bandwidth.  Check out impressions of other Maraschino based amplifiers:

I figured out a way to reduce manufacturing costs. Forwarding savings onto customers, price has been reduced.

Hi, what do you guys think?
I feel CRISPIN 100W is too powerful for my 94dB single fullrange speaker, any MINI CRISPIN brother as 30/50W would be most interesting to me, mainly for the lower price.
Just a idea :green:

I don't see where the problem might come from. I have a full range speaker system that has 95dB sensitivity and I use a 108watt/8ohm amp with no issues. It is nice to have the headroom for some classical pieces. Tchiakovsky anyone.

CRISPIN performs extremely well across all volume levels. Most audio is actually 1/8 to 1/10 of peak. This was taken into account when amp was designed.
