Thanks for all the advice. Ive made up my mind and decided to stick to what I have now... the 963SA. I use my player for my 2ch audio as well as HT too. I probably might go for Denon 2200 or 2900 for my next double-duty player. What'd you guys think picture/sound wise compare to my 963SA?

The 2900 is a sideways move , the 2200 is a downgrade to the 963sa, and the 5900 is an upgrade.

Mod your 963sa's video board, digital, analog and power supply and you wil have an equal in video player(component 480p) to the 5900 and a superior audio performer for a lot less money.

A modded 2900 would be even better as would a modded 5900 if your willing to spend a bit more.
For a tighter budget, I am hearing good things about modded Pioneer 563's from pro modders I trust but have not personally heard this one yet.

As far as stock players, you would have to go to the 5900 for any improvement in video or audio over the 963sa.

In two more weeks I will have my 318 mods done and see how it stacks up to the modded 963sa for video.
