I agree with the Japanese sites on eBay and HMV records when in Tokyo.  Audio shows also have vendors with very good selections.  Good to see that Rockaway Records is still around.  They were at The Show recently, and I remember stopping by when they were in Glendale.  Good to see that Canterbury in Pasadena is also open.

We live near the beaches in Florida. Lots of older record collections are sold to the local stores. I had one collection of about 1000 LPs given to me. Most were Gs so I gave them away.

You do have to watch out for their grading however, a “VG” may really just be a “G”. So we take every one of the used  records out of their sleeves and check them out with a penlight. I’m sure most here do that if the store allows it.

I normally receive used records for no more than $20 and CDs for like 1.99. Older records that are still in their original packaging of course run more … a few store owners here will also call me when a used LP on my list comes in.
