German Import, Roxy Music box set, first seven albums. May have to give my daughter my well-worn originals. They look and sound unplayed! 75 bucks for the set.

Paul

Paul,
You're one lucky dude.  Other than Avalon, you have all the imported studio R.M. albums.  Now you need to get all the imported live albums.

Cheers,
Paul

Just got back from the Tucson Record Show with 11 albums. Prices paid were from $2 to $7 each.
10,000 Maniacs is spinning right now, it's a keeper.

Wayne

Nice haul Wayne. That is one of my fovorite 10,000 Maniacs albums. I'd be interested in knowing how the Neil Young & Crazy Horse albums sounds.

That's a very nice album by Bruce Cockburn.  Nice Cal Tjader, also.

I was surprised to find an early Bruce Cockburn album in perfect condition. The music and recording quality is flawless with a dead silent background and a wide dynamic range, this album makes the hunt for old vinyl worthwhile, CD's hardly ever sound this good.

Band on the Run is the new remastered 180g :thumb:

The others are in excellent shape (don't judge the condition of the record by the condition of the cover).

So how does the remastered McCartney sound?

I am very pleased with the sound. I posted a little commentary here http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=1500.msg859291#msg859291

Excellent recording and excellent pressing--no surface noise--dead quiet. Lots of separation and "air" around the instruments. Great clarity.

Yes, Viva! is live, but there's a bunch more.

I had been looking for this Supertramp album for awhile for a decent price and got it in near mint condition for $9. This was their 2nd album and it had disappointing sales, but if you like Supertramp then I think you will appreciate most of the songs on it. It's sometimes good to hear a band's music before they become "big hits".

Let us know how BOTR sounds.  I have read some not so flattering reviews.

Paul, I was very lucky to have the Main Street Jukebox only a few blocks away for 15 years until Mike who was the vinyl guy sold away his half of the business. Prices went up and selection went down. I had already been going to Double Deckers for about 2 years so I didn't miss a beat. The down side is without traffic it's a 50 min. drive but what the heck you know. So I make the trip at least once a week. Tonights haul included 4 CDs along with the LPs and was $28 and change one of my cheaper nights

Have a pleasant evening................Bill

The Byrds Greatest Hits [Original recording]
The Byrds (Performer) | Format: Vinyl

There were 2 of these at DD, I bought the one that passed the Pumpkinman test. And a sh*tload of classical, but too tired to get the box out of the trunk right now, I'll wait till my 15 year old shows up and have him do it.
