I am using the PromitheusDAC for over a year now with good results and is happy with it. BTW I have the 2 op amps replaced with Bursons discrete opamps and have separate psu for the Bursons.
With the growing use of PC/hard disc storage of digital music, I am looking at the PromitheusUSB option. Please someone correct me, if I purchase the Promitheus USB, I can:-
1) Play music on PC on audio system if the PC is connected to the DAC via the Promitheus USB? Just plug and play? If possible, I intend to place the USB board inside the DAC since I have an input selector switch on the DAC. Will it work on any media player including itunes?
2) Does it work if I plug my ipod/iphone directly to the Promitheus USB? If it works, I can always power the pcb from elsewhere instead of drawing power from the ipod.
