The 'winner' was the Cary 303/300. The other players were an Ayre, Linn LP12, Audio Aerole(spelling?) and a modified Pioneer.

The society meeting can be a lot fun. A lot more shootouts are planned and member feedback is welcome. The next meeting features a interconnect shootout.

Anybody interested should come out and join us one Sunday. There is no obligation. The members are a friendly bunch. However, do let one of us know that you are coming so that we can look after you! You are welcome to contact me on email or post here.

Hey Amdan

What Amps/speakers and cables did you use in the shoot out?

Bryston 14 B ST
A pre-amp built by a member
Reference De Capo Veena speakers
Eichmann Express 8 interconnects between CDP and pre
I believe the speaker cables were build by the member who built the preamp.
Stock power cords.

Dear Friends in Sydney,

Pianist David Fung is one of your own.  He's created quite a stir in the US and Europe these past few years, and he's a hot topic right now in other areas of AudioCircle.  I wish I could have heard his debut last summer at the Edinburgh Festival.  Perhaps some of you were in the audience?

Thanks for loaning David to us! We're most grateful.

Take a peak at his achievements:
