I have a BP17, controlling it with a BR-2.  I recently acquired a BCD-1, current on all updates. I should point out that the player came with the BCD-1 remote supplied with the early models.  The BR-2 instructions say it will control the player with out entering any codes.  But the first time I tried it nothing happened, that is until I pressed the CD button.  Now I have control of the player, but I have lost control of the BP-17, at least the power function.  Do I have to toggle back and forth somehow or......?  The instruction really need to be a little more detailed.

Finally figured this out, the BR-2 code for the BP-17 (unpublished) is the same as the code for the B100 (published).  Intuitively obvious……….NOW!   James, perhaps an undate/expansion of the
BR-2 manual is in order give the various components and functions the remote now controls.  As for myself I have enough of a problem trying to find where I last left the remote let alone trying to figure out how to program it.   Heaven knows what would happen if I added a DAC/BDP2.

If you go to the last page of the attached BR-2 manual, it depicts what functions of the BDP can be controlled by the BR.
