Thanks for your thoughts on the parasound preamp, I will do a little research on it.
The P5 is produces very pure neutral sound at any level you desire. It never, never, every clips, it is silent as midnight at idle as well as extreme levels (when the signal from the preamp is silence). Spec wise this P5 was great numbers except for the slew rate at 40 volts per microsecond where as highly regarded amps (like AVA UF + Double Die) through down at a few 100 volts per microsecond.
The only preamp that I have used on the P5 is the Anthem Statement D2. I really want to hear a different preamp to see what the differences are (either better or worst).
