Help Me With My Initial Order
« on: 20 May 2015, 03:42 pm »
I recently had my new horns installed in my dedicated room and a few tests revealed that the room is desperately in need of absorption from 100Hz-2000Khz. Below is the et60 time for the room. As you can see, it's in excess of 600. I'd like to bring it down to approximately 250.

Accordingly, I plan to initially order a combination of 244 and Monster Bass Trap panels. My room is approximately 18 x 30 x 9.5. Everything below 90Hz will be controlled by my Crown dsp amp, but I'm still interested in treating the room at those frequencies.

I am seeking recommendations for the number of panels I should start with and whether some/all of them should have a scatter plate.

Thanks.

Sorry about the wait on this.  I would recommend you email use some pictures and other info about the room so we can come up with a plan for you. You really can't use a RT60 equation for smaller rooms. That is used for LARGE rooms.
See the following link that will give use most of the information we need on your room.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but thought I would ask- what room size does it take for RT60 to start to be meaningful? Cheers
