Easy, the very best amplifier that I have ever heard is the Goldmund Mimesis 3.

The website is not horrible. This is an old amp form late 80s, early 90s, not in production anymore. Here are the specs:

Then that explains why I couldn't find it...I never would've guessed you like an amp from the 80's / 90's.

My reference amplifier in main system, the Burmester 911 MK.3

And in system two a pair of these, the McIntosh MC1.2KW's:

You didn't indicate that it had to be current production. That is my personal favorite amp that I have ever heard. It originally sold for $7000-$8000, but can be found on eBay and Audiogon for as low as $1500-$2500. At this price point, it's almost a miracle of a product.

:nono:  It doesn't have to be current.  If it's your favorite, we want to hear it!   Price doens't matter at all.  We are an EOAF.  :thumb:

The DNA 500 is a great amp....  Had one of those for a while.  CJ Premier 350 was my next choice after the DNA 500.  Still one of my all time favorites.

I've gotta hear the CJ Premier 350 someday.  That is exactly the amp that the guy who sold me the DNA-500 bought to replace it back in late 2005.

That's exactly what I did with mine too!  Kept the 350 for almost five years until I got the Burmester.

My top three are:

Pass XA 100.5
McCormack DNA-500

Of course none of these float my boat like the Atma-Sphere MA-1's...   :eyebrows:

There are some fantastic SS amps listed above.  I had a chance to demo the Vitus SM-010 mono's in my system earlier this year, wonderful amps that I believe deserve mention with some of the others already noted in this thread....
