Sold: Salk SoundScape 10s In High Gloss Mexican Cocobolo

I've decided to put my SS10s up for sale after being bitten by the electrostatic bug. These have the Sonicap upgrade, hand-rubbed high-gloss finish, and upgrade Mexican Cocobolo veneer. Conservatively rated at 9/10.

This is your opportunity to purchase an awesome speaker at significant savings over new, which is $15,100 plus the veneer (which is approximately $600) and shipping. Asking $8,500 OBO. Speakers will be professionally packaged for shipment. Original boxes are not available as Salk individually packs using foam sheets and cardboard, not standard shipping cartons.

Will consider partial trade for top-rated preamp.

Good luck on the sale. Whoever gets those will be a lucky guy.

I am surprised you are selling them to get electrostatics. Electrostatics have a strong back wave that will be even harder to handle than the ambiance wave from the SoundScapes. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Seems like a bit of a tough room for them, but I'm sure he can manage with enough treatments. Because of the open midrange on the Soundscape, it is possible it won't be any more difficult.

Beautiful speakers by the way! These and the ESLs I think he is looking at are two of the designs I have been lusting over...

Cujo, the room is actually pretty good, even without treatments. Bryan Pape from GIK has been over and the only thing he suggested was bass traps in the front corners (which you can see in the photos) and first reflection point treatment (also done). The speaker position in the embedded photos is not where they were located for listening. . .it's just where they're sitting right now.

I purchased a Sanders 10C system. They integrate very well with my room.
