I'm not planning to attend the show but I'd love to drop by your room after hours for a Rave.  Is that possible?  If so, how about a session focused on music?  Everyone brings a cut or 3 to play, perhaps with some themes.  Here's a theme--if you got to play only one cut for the Rave, what would it be?  I'd like to hear the explanation as well as the tune.

Daniel,

I'll need to check with the show folks about whether we can have people up in the rooms in the off-hours, but if so, that would be cool.  Friday night?

So unfortunately, the official word from the show is that we can't do an after-hours listening session.  The main issue is that they are concerned with the noise.  And I didn't even tell them about Crespo's musical taste...

Maybe we can do it with a theme of "quiet music"? :o

Bill,

I like everything, but I've been bringing some rocking stuff to the Rave like The Clash, The White Stripes, and Blur.  Just gotta switch things up from all the jazz, vocals, and classical we listen to, though I like all of that as well.  Time to try out some AC/DC at the show! :D

Preamp Change
Note: We've got a last minute change - instead of the Blue Circle BC3 Galatea MkII preamp, we will be demoing the Blue Circle BC3000 MkII preamp!  Originally, we were going to demo the BC3 paired with the BC28 hybrid stereo amp.  However, a month ago Blue Circle felt comfortable enough that its new BC206 would be ready in time for the show.  Now that the BC206 is confirmed, we feel that it would be best to show of the system using the BC preamp that best matches the BC206 in quality/performance; thus the BC3000 MkII!

See you at the show!

Phil had a nice session in his room. Stopped by there in the morning, the sound was a little rough, but by the afternoon, sounding like silk, excellent !
Hard to get a good sound in those hotel rooms, but I think he has it under control. The Blue Circle / Focus combo worked well together. Anyone that has not stopped by, should pay him a visit and bring you cds. He'll will play them for you,.... some other rooms won't ! :? [/list:u]
