The Solid State amp is a Jaton AP2140A Amplifier. I bought it of curiosity for something different to play with and it was 55% off retail on Audiogon. I gave it a month to break in before critically listening. It easily allowed me to hear differences in cables after that time. It played plenty loud for its 70wpc rating with my 85db speakers. The imaging and soundstage was quite impressive for its price point. It provided a musical experience that was palpable with good PRAT. Also it was very clean and coherent. It lacked some of the tube goodness compared to my Rogue, which was considerably more than the Jaton. http://www.jaton.com/av/product_detail_ex.php?idx=8http://www.stereomojo.com/Jaton%20Operetta%20Power%20Amplifier%20Review/JatonOperettaPowerAmplifierReview.htm
