Very nice room indeed and speakers as well.

But, what I am interested, if there is some acoustical measurements of this room. Not only freq response but also all of the other parameters that is included in the acoustical measurements.

Because I don't see any kind of diffusion in this room and the cylindrical form in the middle is not a diffusor but a reflector.

Is the diffusion hidden behind the gray fabric walls?

What do you mean by smaller room tames the resonances?

Yes diffusive elements are hidden behind the fabric along with a few resonators. A huge Schroeder out back is exposed. About the "cone" being a reflector and not a diffusor, you're kidding right?

What I meant is that it looks like a Poly diffusor and not in the remark of QRD or Binary Maximum-Lenght Sequence with period lenght diffusor (Schroeder diffusor) and so on.

Yes it's a Poly. The taper is a function of the rather high ceiling. I call it the icecream cone.

One poly like this will only take one certain freq or freq in the vicinity and you need lots of polys to make it broadband. This is not the case here. It is accually a reflector that redirect the sound rather than diffusion that diffuse broadband.

The diffusion I have is a broadband like Golden Horn and the freq range is from 800-16k and the Wing diffusor starts from 300-16k according to SMT:s Matts Odenmalm. It's little bit differen't.

I still would like to see the measurements, I know I have shown mine.

It really depends on what you're targets are McTwins. Poly's have been in use since before electronics were even invented. By definitions Poly's ARE diffusive so I don't know why you insist on calling them reflectors whether they are alone or used in groups. They probably just aren't what you consider to be diffusors.

As for the measurements, I'll post it when I get it and if and when I feel like it.

My target is that a Poly has a low diffusion coefficient and can not be spread out over time. In this aspect it can not be called a diffusor.

Seriosly speaking, reflectors is mainly used for big venues and larger conserthalls to redirect the sound.

People of today are saying that a plant and bookshelfs are also diffusors.

Thanks McTwins. Another storm is battering our southern provinces right now and it isn't pretty. After what my own province went through 2 years ago, my heart really goes out to them.

I haven't hooked up with Mike yet. I do remember you posting your measurements. The most comprehensive I've ever seen. The measurements taken were pretty basic. I hope you won't be too disappointed.
