Leanred about speaker methodology I knew nothing about.  A little more about phono cartridge tracking angle.  Manufacturers I knew nothing about.  World music  Interesting personalities and points of view.  Lots of laughs.  Other stuff, also.

If it weren't for the people here at the circle, I wouldn't have 1/4th the level of system I have now. I am humbly grateful for this place. Hands down the best forum. Thanks to all.

In response to a request from DD, this posting has been modified to exclude what I assume offended him.

"Politics and religion are not allowed. We've tried it, and it doesn't work. This is a site about audio--go somewhere else to talk about these subjects" I take it that this is the rule he feels I violated.

I didn't think a quote was a violation, but obviously some members take it that way. Point taken. Won't happen again.

I am still learning through AC this ancient bit of wisdom  :duh:

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.

Dave: Posts such as the one I've quoted above contravene the rules on Audio Circle - perhaps you would be so kind as to modify or delete it and save someone else the trouble.

Thanks

D. D. I would be delighted to delete the message if it offends you, even setting aside rules, but I learned that I am unable to delete messages. Before I modify it to a blank, to respond to your request, could you point out which rule I have violated, please. This would help guide me in the future.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi: If you haven't had the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Rules and Guidelines for AC, when you get a minute go to the main menu at the top of the page and select "Circles". Scroll down to  "Notices and Support" in the Community box and click on it. The third option in the "Child Board" menu is "Rules n' Stuff". You'll find what you are seeking there.

No offense taken - given my nature, my chosen profession and the amount of time I have worked in it, there is not much going on in a place like this that would actually offend me. That being said, the rules set out for us on AC are there for a reason and we would be best to familiarize ourselves with them and follow them so that we may post with an eye towards civility. Certain topics do not foster civility here, hence the rules. You like civility, don'tcha?

I've learned an awful lot more than I've been able to share with others and for that I say thank you.

Please note D.D. that although I have not been able to remove the post that you checked me on, I have modified. I do believe in civility, although it would seem that some members don't like threads about it.

Just stop using my name in your games and refrain from comments on my posts and there will be no problems. I simply have no interest in any discussion with you. Otherwise I will respond to your slimy behavior.
