Gremlins in Macmini?
« on: 9 Sep 2011, 02:36 am »
In an older macmoni, I can set itunes playing 24 houes without interruption. In my 2011 macmini, after about 5 hours, the sound cuts off. I then have to pause iyunes, hit play, and the sound comes back on. I made sure to click on never in the sleep mode.

This is driving me nuts since it is hard to break-in components without running Itunes 24 hours a day. Can anyone here help with my gremlins?

Tom,

Lion is a bit of resource hog, but it shouldn't leak memory enough to cause the problems you are seeing.

You could try a Repair Permissions on your disk.  It sometimes will clean up issues like yours.  Go to:
  - Applications, Utilities, Disk Utilities
  - Then select your internal drive, then select Repair Permissions.  It will take about a minute to run.
