Thanks for pointing out that I'm wrong again. I guess he only gsmes the Lions lose are ones in which they are cheated by the refs or ones in which Stafford is playing hurt. Looks like little Matty is healthy, so if the refs call a fair game I'm curious to see how they will do against the Saints. I'm eager to hear the next round of sour grapes and complaining. At least it will end after next week's game. Hopefully, their "misunderstood" players like Suh will receive fair treatment from the officials. To the outside world, these guys are thugs, punks and dirty players. Maybe I should listen to the local Detroit broadcast so I can hear the unbiased troof.
Sounds like you got a mad on, George.
When you get it wrong, expect to get called on it. You keep making sweeping generalizations about games you did not watch. Read the article posted earlier. No one is saying that Detroit (or anyone else) is above criticism. Certainly, they have been learning how to win, and yes, they have stumbled along the way with stupid penalties, control of emotions, etc. That is all fair game, and have no problems with those kind of comment. What is NOT fair game are lectures about an entire team and city being routinely trashed (based on what?), and yes, you will get called on that as well. Your comment about "troof" could be considered slanderous, and is at least poetically incorrect.Let’s just stick to the games, players, and teams on this thread.
"Papa said to mama, let that boy boogie woogie". You might as well. you want to win, don't you, Denver fans? He is gifted in a way. You give me a better scenario.
Personally, I think he throws like a girl.
Troof? Looks like you and several Lions fans can't handle the troof. After every loss, all you can do is complain about officiating and make excuses for your sorry team. The truth is the Lions are in the playoffs because of Jay Cutler's injury. They couldn't even beat a Packers team with a backup QB. I didn't hear any Lions fans complaining when they benefitted from a blown (obvious) non-call to beat the hapless Vikings. Every team deals with bad calls and good teams overcome occasional bad calls and manage to win games. Let's see how the Lions do against a good team playing all of their starters next week. I suspect we won't be hearing from Lions fans after next week. That's the troof! Good riddance.
I always hope that championship games are #1 vs #1. Now, I'm only hoping that the Saints and the Pack meet at Lambeau, in January, for the privilege of going to the Big Game. I think that game could be better than the Superbowl. Go Saints,Jerry
Again, Cutler and Stafford both faced injuries. Perhaps if Chicago had a talented OL and kept their QB upright, this conversation seems a lot different. Every team does face poor calls from refs, but I doubt more face bad calls than the Lions. After all, I've seen key drives given to opponents because of QBs falling over their offensive linemen ('roughing the passer' and Suh was called for illegal hits that were perfectly legal amonst the many I can name off).By the way, you were talking about how dirty the Lions are... http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/36848/free-head-exam-detroit-lions-33Read number 2. How much exposure has that hit received? The Lions likely won't beat the Saints, but neither would the Bears. The Saints and Packers are probably the best teams this season and in their house, I don't expect most teams to win there. You seem to forget the Lions easily handled the Bears at Ford Field. The game in Chicago Detroit was dealing with some injuries (including the dirty hit by Urlacher that gave a concussion to Scheffler). The only reason the Bears had any chance in Detroit was because Cutler played out of this world. The rest of his team was awful, however.Obvious touchdowns not being called are not 'occasional' bad calls. Completing the Process is only a phrase you know because the Lions got screwed last season. When they got screwed in Green Bay, what excuse was there? Was it a close sidelines play? Sure...but no more so than any other sidelines/endzone catch. As the article says, the league usually rules in favor of the touchdown realizing it can always change it via replay. It's also convenient the Lions couldn't challenge because they lost one out of two challenges on a play where the returner was clearly down by contact but the camera angles were 'inconclusive' for the refs. Perhaps it was all just bad luck, but it happens a bit too often for liking. It's upsetting because if the Lions avoid the Saints and somehow another team manages to upset them, Detroit would have a reasonable chance at a championship. And yes, the Lions lost to a Green Bay backup (with the help of the refs)...Green Bay at full strength lost to a lousy KC squad Detroit blew out this season. What's your point?
