I haven't tried it all, that's for sure. But I have gone through at least a dozen or so RCA interconnects that cost around $150 or less - particularly in the last couple of years. Of those I've tried, which would include offerings by: Nordost, Audience, Kimber, BlueJeans, Signal Cable, Morrow Audio, KnuKonceptz, MIT Cables, Ixos, Choseal, Chord, Zu Cable, Audioquest, PS Audio, Monster Cable, Audio Art and so on.. my go-to recommendation for a budget cable belongs to Virtue Audio's 'Nirvana' interconnect.
Why? Simply put, I like their build quality, their performance, and consistency. Particularly the latter. The thing is, while most of the aforementioned manufacturers make a great product, the problem is that their entry level efforts usually will either A) sound absolutely amazing in a system, or B) sound like absolute shit in a system. Thus I love to recommend the Nirvana's because well.. it's easy to do. For the money, they don't do a whole lot wrong - and best of all, they match an extremely wide variety of gear.
Anyways, the good news is that most cable manufacturers offer a 30 (and sometimes even a 60 day) money-back guarantee. That makes the 'trying it out' process fairly easy and inexpensive. So with all that said - good luck with your hunt!
