Hi All,
Just discovered this thread

So much to discuss and so little time

Re. these two quotes - Count me in.
Got all of the Nightwish albums and seen them a few times.
I do miss Tarja though - just a different world truly MONUMENTAL.
Tristania supported one of the Nightwish Shows - not to shabby a double bill eh!

On the Symphonic front Rhapsody and Dark Moor are worth checking out too.
Re. the comments on loudest;
Twisted Sister at Newcastle Mayfair were pretty much up there and Manowar, but nothing topped Motorhead at Middlesborough Crypt

I see some comments on UFO, caught them earlier in the year with Vinnie Moore on geetar - not too bad.
Saw them with Schenks a couple of times - He was in a class of his own.
Had tickets to see them a few years back with said shredder of the flying V only to have the show cancelled due to an off stage punch up the night before between him and Phil - Bummer!
Best Metal Concert - very,very difficult........
Most recently probably Heaven & Hell (RIP Ronnie - a true legend), Lamb Of God and Iced Earth triple header.
Prior to that Judas Priest/Scorpions Double Headliner - this was especially spot on as Klaus and Co. had to raise their game to compete with the almighty Priest - not a cigarette lighter to be seen all set

Got to admit though I've had a few fun nights with Y&T - Great tunes and Dave and the boys certainly know how to party.
I saw Blackfoot a few weeks ago Charlie and Greg T still giving it their all - Great Stuff.
Too many good nights

Most of my audio listening is on vinyl and the metal discs, esp. the NWOBHM, still get plenty of spins;
Whitespirit, Samson, Maiden, Quartz, Motorhead etc. etc..
In fact the 'heads Overkill had a recent visit to the Sondek - Stunning!
I'd best shut up - Could be here all night.
Keep on rockin'
Dave
Sorry - One final thing
Balls To The Wall
