First and foremost --- thanks for all the kind comments.  Really enjoyed building these speakers and you've all been a huge help.

At the risk of getting ridiculed by the cool kids, I'll confess that I'm just running these off an old NAD integrated amp. (C370) None of them fancy tube amps for me.  Yet....

FWIW, the "peel & stick" veneer from Rockler was really easy to use. (http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=2213&filter=veneer)  This was my first veneer job and couldn't be happier.
