Mag, I confess that after I have bought new gear that makes a difference, and I hear that difference in a beloved piece of music, I do tear up. Part of it is the music, but another part, I think, is the joy of finding what I was looking for.

I know what you mean. :smoke:

They say that real men don't cry. But perhaps they do if they are happy audiophiles, or perhaps I'm not a real man. At my age, it makes little difference, particularly when I spend most of my time being a happy audiophile.

If you're a fan of the doudouk, you owe it to yourself to hear the master: Levon Minassian.

The first time I listened to my Rega + Bryston + PMC's, I got a bit misty-eyed just because it sounded so damn good. Hasn't happened since.

My gear never makes me want to cry tears of joy but I consider myself very lucky to have what I got.

It happened again last night playing the Monkees, in MP3. :bawl:

Teared up on 3 songs, I'm a Believer, Last Train from Clarksville, Monkees Theme.

Heard these songs before but never had the SP2 processor. Songs had dimension and depth to the soundstage like I was there in studio. :smoke:
