New toy...

Today I am the proud new owner of an almost new Insight Integrated Control Amplifier with remote. It's now being upgraded to a "+", so I should have it in a few weeks. For now it will be feeding my PSB T5 towers, but there are Songtowers in my future. I can't wait for delivery. Thank you, Frank, for all the help.

Your going to love your new toy!  By the way PSB guy,  I bought a pair of PSB B6's for my son.  I got a pair of B stock for $399.  They are a wonderful sounding budget bookshelf.  I have a friend that has a pair of PSB Synchrony One's and the B6's have the same tonal flavor as the Synchrony's.

Thank you, and I will. It will be replacing a Virtue Sensation amp, which is a great amp, but I think the two are totally different animals.

Congrats! I was lucky enough to get one of these trade-in control amp's from Frank a little over a month ago - had it upgraded to Insight+ status. Getting to know it as well a a new Vision Hybrid DAC. Let us know how you like it once you have it for a while.

Okay, so I've had the Control Amp for a while now and I just have to say that it absolutely smokes anything I've had in my system before. Clarity, bass control and detail are just out of this world. I was listening to the opening track on Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet, "If I Were A Bell", and for the first time ever, I heard tape flutter near the start of the track. This amp just squeezes every last detail out of the music. With my old amp, I thought my speakers were a little bass-shy, now I see they were not the problem. They will eventually be replaced by Salk SongTowers, but that day has been put off for a while, I'm still exploring what they can do with this amp. BTW, thank you to the previous owner for taking such great care of it, it's virtually spotless, just I slight scuff on the top of the front panel. Frank has a customer for life...

Cornelis,

That has to be sweet.
I know when I got my Vision DAC from Frank and ran it thru the Dyna ST70, to my PSB T4's,
I was almost stunned. The PSB's had never sounded so good.

Song Towers are on my wish list as well, but after RMAF this year I'm ordering either a T8
or Avastar preamp from Frank, depending on how much money I have left.

Enjoy,

James
