You guys have no idea. Those lists are meant to appease you. he fact that there isn't a song less than 40 years old should tell you something :thumb:

...kinda funny isn't it....no mention of Chuck Berry....or Mickey Baker...or Jimmy Bryant...or James Burton...or Scotty Moore...way too ancient????...though without those guys R'n'R would be a riff wasteland and we would be gruvin' to Mantovani riffs and singing doowop...

Cheers

I won't bother pointing out which riff I mean, if you know the song you probably already know what I mean. (which is probably hardly anyone on this site, but I'm doing it anyway)

Melvins "Honey Bucket"
Nuclear Assault "Critical Mass"
Living Color "Cult Of Personality" (RClark's first concert reminded me of this epic riff)
Exodus "Verbal Razors"
Annihilator "Allison Hell"
Pestilence "Out Of The Body"
Cannibal Corpse "Hammer Smashed Face"
Deranged "Flesh Rebel" (some of the fastest triplets I've ever heard.)
Morbid Angel "Immortal Rites"

I don't have iTunes in front of me, that's what came to mind at the moment.

I'm only familiar with one or two on the list but these are by far the angriest riffs in the thread, possibly on the planet.  You are a very interesting dude.

Cheers,
