rogue 88 tube rolling question

rogue 88 tube rolling question

The Rogue 88 has (4) kt-88, (4)12au7 and (2) 12ax7 tubes. I was wondering which if the three tubes would have the most effect if I tube rolled.

My experience is that the 12AX7's and then the AU's changed the sound more than different KT88's.   What are you trying to change about the sound?

Just wanted to experiment. Since there are (2) 12ax7 versus (4) 12au7 it would be a lot cheaper to follow your advice... :)
