They were having a real problem with the boards. Not delivered on time, USB boards AWOL, and I'm reading between the lines here, but possibly some DOA boards were received. Jason didn't say that, but he did say they had to test every board, so take what you will from that.

They seem committed to shipping a perfect product no matter how long the delay, a Hobson's choice for us, but for me, one I gladly accept.

I don't mind waiting and they were good with notifying through head-fi but why not direct to customers and dealers if they have any. I haven't gotten word one myself. If I didn't go seek out the info I wouldn't know what was up. This whole snafu has probably caught them way, way off guard. I think they are so flippin busy putting out fires and testing what they have gotten they are just swamped with issues to resolve. I'll wait thats no problem even though I WANT IT!!!...the learning experience will either help them or kill them both....LOL...hopefully the first option.

No Schiit! Bummer......

He said they were basically living at the shop. And that they had learned a lesson about announcements of new product shipping dates.

I hate to say I told you so, ok, I love to say I told you so, anyway, I've been party to several new product launches and nothing, I mean nothing, goes as planned.

At this point, product delays need to be accepted as very likely and any likely shipping date taken with a grain of salt. Making an announced likely shipping date is to be applauded, but considering all that the variables that manufacturers have to juggle I wouldn't be too hard on those that have to push back ship dates.

rclark..did you buy one? I know you were all jacked up about that Emodium DAC you have? Did you buy some Schiit? Apparently a few slipped out that were bad.

The folks that have working units are all giving very positive reports so far.

I met with Jason Stoddard at RMAF today. He said the Bitfrost is shipping today, and en masse on Monday. He says the USB version is not that far behind.

rclark-I think you'll like it, especially with the maggies, they ought to really shine. Your still using the TWO.2 right? I'm gonna be running similar setup with different speakers and caps but the combo you have should be seet!!!

I pumped to here what it does with my newest JBL's.....we got something cool to check out soon...yeah!!! "This is where the fun begins".........

Hey Eclein, I know I've been harping on this lately, but if you want a huge upgrade get yourself a battery PS and charger for your Two. You'll thank me later

Anyway, looking forward to hearing thus dac. Lots of cool hardware has birthing issues, not a big deal.
