Wow. :o That's an amazing price. I doubt there is a $450 DAC that could better this.

Do you mean an Ultra DAC?  Last time I checked, the only AVA unit named Ultravalve is their all tube power amplifier.

Correct, there never was an "Ultravalve" DAC.

The photos say it looks OK, and is an earlier version, but still an excellent choice at that price.

It can be upgraded, but it would cost about $600 as both the digital board and the analog tube filter board require substantial work to bring them up to date (new current amplifier ICs and current buffers, and new mos-fets in the hybrid tube stage.

My bad - Frank is correct, it is an UltraDAC not an UltraValve DAC.  I just updated the ad to include an Inday Digital Audio Switcher to switch inputs and convert from optical fiber to coax.
